Oldfield Farm

for Good News Family Care (Homes) Ltd

£0.00 + £0.00 Gift Aid = £0.00
Donated to Oldfield Farm’s £475000.00 Goal

The Charity runs its freedom2live recovery program from this lovely rural location. At present we use the farm with the agreement of the majority owners (we are a minority owner). We are seeking to secure the farm by buying out the majority owners. If you wish to give to this appeal please specify when making your donation or email [email protected]

All funds raised will be passed to Good News Family Care (Homes) Ltd irrespective of whether our appeal target is reached, not reached or exceeded. If funds are being raised for a specific purpose and, for whatever reason, this purpose is no longer valid, the funds will be transferred to the charity for general use.

The charity

Good News Family Care (Homes) Ltd. (GNFC) is a registered charity providing a safe-haven, for women and children affected by debilitating circumstances such as domestic violence, homelessness or substance abuse. We provide practical help, with the objective to empower the individual to live life to their maximum capability, in a secure, supportive and non-judgemental environment.

Our vision is to make a positive impact in the community – each transformed life influences and affects the whole family and society.

Over our 23 year history we have supported over 2800 people to transform their lives with positive changes. We do this through supportive residential accommodation and are one of the few substance abuse recovery providers in the UK to enable mothers to progress through recovery with their child/children from birth upwards to 7 years.

This model keeps the integrity of family life and preserves the safety and security of the children. GNFC also has an Ofsted registered nursery school on-site in Buxton. We use our ‘freedom2live’ programme, residential Family Centre, therapeutic activities and skills for life and work to empower people to lasting change.

The work-based farm projects welcome residents and people from the wider community, on our wonderful rural farm.

If you would like to know more about any of the services see our website https://gnfc.org.uk/

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
