LCDT is leading an appeal to replace the iconic Woodside Bridge which collapsed in late 2017. Woodside Bridge crossed the beautiful East Lyn River at the entrance to the stunning Watersmeet Valley near Lynmouth in Devon. There has been a bridge there for over 150 years, but as it was not a designated Right of Way, and was not owned by any Statutory Authority, no public designated funds are available to replace it. In collaboration with Exmoor National Park Authority, who are also supporting the fund financially through their "Caremoor for Exmoor" scheme, LCDT are seeking to raise the £65000 needed to replace it. Once replaced, the National Park has agreed to maintain it, so this is a "one-off" appeal. Many tens of thousands of people enjoyed the short walk from Lynmouth past Middleham Memorial Gardens, across Woodside Bridge and on to Watersmeet and if they gave just £1 each, the appeal will be funded. Please add your donation, however small, as it will be welcomed. If you are a taxpayer, please consider Gift Aiding your donation - it makes such a difference. Thank you.
