Following two years of working with Abaseen my family have been touched with the stories of the plight of the children & their families living in the remote villages of Pakistan
This year my husband, son: Ahsan Afzal and nephew: Zubair Ishaq are also joining the trek.
I implore you all to please give generously, as they have never undergone anything as challenging as this in their lives, and support them too in raising funds to build a better future for the orphans, widows, and underprivileged children.
This campaign is dedicated to our late mother.
Abaseen has been working for 20 years educating poor children, with particular focus on girls, health care and community development in the North West Pakistan.
The charity is a lifeline to changing the future of these children.
By empowering them with education and good health we are supporting the next generation to become self-sufficient.
Please don’t forget to tick the ‘gift aid’ box as this can help with a small % of the donation to cover the cost of the trek.
Asslamalaikum everyone, May peace and blessings be upon you ALL 🤲🏻 I am doing the Abaseen Foundation Trek to support the building of a new school for very poor children in the outskirts of Peshawar.
Pakistan is the most misrepresented country around, facing global media scrutiny for the most part. Please give these children a chance to transcend this barrage of negativity and have the chance to live a normal life in safety where they can flourish and dream just like us 🌈🌤🇵🇰
Baltistan and Hushe Honbroq Valley trek is a combination of culture and adventure. It includes visit of historical sites i.e. The Chaqchan Mosque’, Modernized Ancient Forts of Shigar and Khaplu, Ruins of Thoksikhar, beautiful landscapes, waterfalls and lakes and hiking and trekking above 4000 meters. We begin our trip with a dramatic mountain flight to Skardu and hiking in the adjacent valley of Kachura in the afternoon.
We drive alongside the Indus and then Shyok rivers to the town of Khaplu and trek up the ruins of ancient fort of Thoksi Khar. Proceeding to Hushe on the next day through the typical Balti villages of Saling, Machulu, Talis, Kaney and Kanday, we find ourselves nestled deep within the Karakoram Mountains.
The trek to Hombroq gives the opportunity to have magnificent view of K2, Broad Peak and Gashabrum.

Following a successful
trip to Pakistan with the Abaseen Foundation in 2017 I have
decided to make a 2nd visit and will be joining this year's fundraising trek to the Skardu area during
June 2019. I have maintained a close involvement with Abaseen since
2017 and remain convinced
makes a valuable contribution to education (with a particular focus on teaching girls), health care and community development in one of the poorest parts of NW Pakistan. The funds raised this year will be used to
a school building on a site that
accommodates up to 2000 children from the surrounding area.In recognition of its work
UK and Pakistan the Abaseen Foundation
received the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2018 and its Chief Executive Helen Bingley has recently been
awarded the OBE.
I hope you will make a donation to support this important
If your are able to do Gift Aid it increases the value of your donation by 25%, and finally, be assured I am meeting all my own costs
of the trip so your donation all goes to Abaseen. Many thanks.

I am returning to Pakistan in June to undertake a trek in Skardu area to raise funds to complete the building of a school which can then offer education through from nursery to the completion of secondary. The schools the charity runs are located in a poor area close to the Khyber Pass, where we also offer education opportunities to many refugee children whose families work in the local brick kilnsMany of my friends and family generously supported my last fundraising in May 2017 and through that we were able to begin building to support a growing number of children ready to progress to secondary education. We were also able to purchase some new buses to transport children from the far flung villages. The Charity has worked hard to gain the confidence of the local communities with the result that more girls are remaining in education beyond puberty and numbers of children in the schools are rising steadily. The completion of the building programme we are funding through this trek allow us to accommodate up to 2000 children, offering education up to A level alongside vocational opportunities.i do hope you will feel able to support this valuable work and I will be spending a few days in the projects meeting with staff and children prior to the trek. The contribution that Abaseen is making to the lives of children in NW Pakistan is increasingly being recognised in the U.K. and Pakistan. The Charity received the Queens Award for Voluntary Service this year and our Chief Executive Helen Bingley was awarded the OBE. The charity receives considerable support from Pakistani communities within the UK and we are forging stronger links with local and central government in Pakistan.
I will of course be meeting all the costs of the trip myself so all your donations will go straight to the charity. Please remember to do gift aid as it makes a big difference to the amount the charity receives at no extra cost to you.A big thank you from me and all the children

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
