Jen's Shelter Project Fund
Warwick Estates hopes to raise enough money to construct a 'cottage' to serve as a safe haven for girls rescued from child sex abuse. This vital children's shelter provides permanent refuge homes and professional trauma-informed care for female victims of online child sex abuse. This informative video from Kate Muir of BuildAid explains a little bit more about BuildAid and the project!! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yj9HYo5txK6YK8EptVCMq9rOOmKl-CCs/view?usp=sharingTo reiterate, for those of you that are not aware of the extent of the abuse issues in the Philippines below is a link to the Stacey Dooley documentary available on iPlayer. I must warn you,
THIS IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.
It is a distressing documentary, uncovering the horrors of sexual exploitation and torture of children, normally by family members, via webcam broadcast.https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p051xhnz/stacey-dooley-investigates-mums-selling-their-kids-for-sex The documentary does however highlight how important it is that the children coming out of these horrific situations have a safe and caring place to live and receive dedicated psychological, emotional and educational support. Our cottage will house 10 of the worst affected children with the 24 hour a day care of two 'house parents', giving them a chance at a childhood and the opportunity of a brighter future.
My individual target within the company is £200 and I appreciate every little that gets donated.
