About Chemogiftbags

Thank you for visiting our profile page on Wonderful.

Chemogiftbags from "People Who Care" Please donate to support our cause.

Chemogiftbags is for Breast Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in the Thames Valley area. We offer recipients a chemogiftbag that can be used during their chemo.

It was founded to let ladies and gentlemen know going through Chemotherapy that complete strangers actually care about them. It gives people hope and Chemogiftbags does put a smile on Breast Cancer patients faces when they receive their Chemogiftbag.

As our strap line says "From People Who Care"

Your money will go to buy more items and allow us to keep the charity alive. If we can achieve a smile, then at the end of the day our job is done.

Please help us to fundraise for the lovely team at Chemogiftbags who provide breast cancer patients, undergoing chemotherapy in the Thames Valley area, with a Chemogiftbag that includes items suitable for use before, during and after chemotherapy.
Items in the bags include hand-made, heart shaped cushions, soft toothbrushes, chemical-free toiletries, fleece blankets, lip-balm, thermometers, socks and herbal tea to help alleviate some of the side effects of chemo. Common side effects include sore, dry, cracked and sensitive skin, mouth ulcers, difficulty with temperature regulation, sore lips, nausea, bad taste, fatigue and hair loss and are accompanied by long periods of treatment, often over many months.
Both our families have been affected by Breast Cancer and we know how much this help can go a long way during the particularly difficult and apprehensive time of starting treatment.
Chemogiftbags rely totally on the generosity of supporters to make and provide each bag, which each cost approximately £50. We'd like to help ensure they can be provided to as many people as possible undergoing treatment in the Thames Valley area.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
