Jessie's Fund enables thousands of children with life limiting illnesses or serious disabilities to be heard through the language of music. By providing opportunities for them to access music therapy and to participate in musical activities, children who have little or no other way of communicating are given a voice.
Jessie's Fund was founded in memory of a bright and musical little girl who died at the age of nine. Based in her home city of York, the award-winning charity benefits children in hospices and special schools all over the UK.
In addition, many children are supported in accessing music therapy in their own homes: the impact on families can be huge.
'Before the music therapy sessions started Cassie didn't communicate with us at all. Now we have a song for bath time, brushing teeth, going to the toilet, eating and drinking. Everything you can think of really! We use music and song as a language we all understand and can share together. The therapy has been brilliant for Cassie and has really helped her development, which has helped us all as a family.'

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
