Skydive Buzz - 15,000ft!!
Along with several of my very brave colleagues at Old Mill, I will be taking part in a tandem skydive at 15,000ft on Sunday 26 April 2020!
I am insanely terrified just thinking about it, but hopefully if I can raise some money for Mind in Somerset in the process, it should all be worthwhile!
Mind in Somerset is an independent charity, with all funds spent on delivering services locally, but are affiliated to the national charity, 'Mind', to draw on their resources, guidance and expertise in the process. Their core purpose is to 'provide services and support to anyone affected by or vulnerable to mental illness, improving their quality of life and well-being'. It is a very worthwhile cause and close to my heart, as mental illness is likely to affect most if not all of us at some stage, either directly or indirectly (such as friends and family).
Please note that this is setup using Skydive Buzz's 'Jump for Free' programme, which means that money raised will cover Skydive Buzz's costs for the skydive itself, with the remaining funds going directly to the charity. If the goal is not met, I will still be jumping ;) I'll just need to cover the rest personally to ensure neither the charity nor Skydive Buzz are out of pocket!
Thank you very, very much to any kind donors :)
