About Reach Charity Ltd

Reach is…..positive

Even in the darkest moments, we want Reach to be a ray of hope in our members’ lives. We see the potential in all Reach children and celebrate their ability, never focusing on disability.

Reach is…..supportive

We recognise that different families want different levels of support, and we tailor our approach to suit them. We’re there to provide resources, support and practical advice; whatever our families tell us they need.

Reach is….inspiring

Our members are amazing and we shout about their achievements whenever we can. We share success stories and hero those ‘wow’ moments, big and small, to show families just how much our incredible children are capable of.

Reach is….community

Connecting families is a vital part of Reach’s work and the bonds this creates is priceless. Whether it’s at our family weekend, branch meetings or on a Facebook forum, we help members to build relationships that last a lifetime.

Yes I am in! You read correctly! I am in! Another of my dreams will probably come true next year. I say probably because it will be a long-ish and rather challenging journey full of ups and downs. A great level of determination as well as motivation will be the magic portion I will need to drink almost everyday! I am finally enrolled at the London marathon that will take place next year on the 26th of April: 42 km (or 26 ml), a long route that frankly scares me at the minute but I’m sure I will be over once done!
People might be thinking “WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO YOURSELF?” and the answer is very easy: CREATE AWARENESS about something that is very close to my heart,a great reason I strongly believe in and

personal hope that my action will do good for others. One of my best friends Natasha had the gift of becoming mum of 3 beautiful boys, Finn, John and Oliver! It was so unfortunate, though that Oliver was born only with one hand: there wasn’t enough space in the womb for the other hand to develop as well as every other limb of his and of his 2 other brothers.
I will be running for all those children with upper limb differences: in order for them to continue living life without limits awareness is needed as well as tools to improve the quality of their lives. The charity is #REACH: since 1978, #REACH has provided families with the opportunity to get together, share information and experiences on what to do (or not to do) and where to go for information regarding treatments for the many types of differences , from artificial limbs, appliances or necessary surgery.I will use this platform to post our progresses

and show you how important is your SUPPORT in this journey! I will make sure that you will also appreciate to see children smile, a smile that will warm your heart!

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
