Winter Wonderland : Smalls for All
I've paid for the Winter Wonderland Tickets for everyone who confirmed attendance. This is the way you pay me back!
Smalls for All® is a charity which collects and distributes underwear to help women and children in Africa and (from 1 August 2019) the UK. For some people, pants and bras are an unaffordable luxury. But they can make a life-changing difference. For example, having pants can help teenage girls complete their education without having to miss school each month during their period.
The underwear we collect has gone to many African countries including Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zanzibar. We partner with other specialist charities to help us reach those in need. This includes people living in orphanages, slums, IDP camps and schools, as well as those in hospitals suffering from medical conditions like obstetric fistula.
For her work with Smalls, our founder Maria Macnamara has received a 'point of light' award, been honoured with an MBE and awarded an honorary doctorate by the Open University.
Smalls for All is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

Since starting in our founder’s garage back in 2010, Smalls for All® has grown exponentially.

We’ve now collected and distributed OVER 1 MILLION items of underwear to women and children in Africa who wouldn’t otherwise have any, giving them back the basic human dignity that everyone deserves.

As a result of this growth, we’ve recently reached a stage where we need a permanent base to secure the charity’s long-term future.

On 11 June, just as we were preparing to move, our warehouse was broken into. Pipes were stolen resulting in flooding throughout, a generator was taken and some of our stocks of underwear were spoiled. Thanks to the kindness of strangers (with their vans!), the hard work of our pantastic volunteers, and the amenability of our new landlords, we had moved to the safety of new premises within 10 hours of discovering this devastating blow! A little earlier than planned.

Our move, however, brings with it the need to raise funds. And so we’re launching a special appeal to help raise the £19,000 we need to cover rent, rates and other associated premises costs for a year, and pay for the loss of the generator.

Your contribution will help ensure we can continue to function and grow in the future, so that we can go on helping more people in need – in both Africa and the UK. Every penny matters.

To find out more about Smalls and the work we do, please see our website: www.smallsforall.org.

If you’d like to help, please give to this Wonderful page and Smalls will receive 100% of your donation.

The Co-operative Bank are proud to be the main sponsorship partner of the Wonderful Organisation supporting charities to make a difference by ensuring 100% of donations go directly to doing good. Learn more about the Bank’s values and ethics.
We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.
We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.
We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
