Mya and the Mud Sisters
I will be supporting Mya who will be taking part in a mile race on 19 May and she will be raising funds for the amazing special needs school Herons Dale.
Mya was born with Axenfeld Reiger Syndrome and her parents were told that she would never walk and never talk etc. Well those people didnt know Mya very well as she was up and walking by the time she left play school. Now we all have a job keeping up with her. This little lady smashes every challenge put in her way. To prove it we are going to be taking part in this mile race - she may run a bit, she may walk a bit and who knows she might even dance a bit but finish it she will.
Then on 9 June myself and the other 'mud sisters' Elllie Housley, Sarah Chappell, Jo Marrett, Kara Banaszak, Emma Mercer and friends will be taking part in a 5k mud and obstacle run. Those in the mud sisters group meet each week to run and we support each other in many ways.
All monies raised will go to giving the children at school wonderful hands on experiences in a new nature hub area which we started fund raising for last year. This area will have a raised wildlife pond, sensory planting and an allotment style area with raised growing beds. If we are lucky enough to do all of this then any left over money will go towards other projects of the school.
Thankyou so much for your support :)
