The Rotary Club of Chichester Harbour (RCCH) is a friendly club that currently has around 50 members, with men and women equally represented. We hold a breakfast meeting every Wednesday at 7.30am at The Chichester Park Hotel, and new members are always welcome. For further information about our club contact: [email protected]
Our Club, like all Rotary Clubs, is a Registered Charity, and we raise money for a number of charities and good causes, both at home and abroad. All donated monies go to the specified charity; to see some of our recent and planned fundraising activities visit our website or Facebook page (links below).
For the last 10 years, RCCH has organised an annual charity cycle ride from Chichester to Chartres. This year we planned something slightly different and a little closer to home, but we hope this new event will prove to be equally interesting and certainly no less challenging for enthusiastic cyclists who want to help us raise money for a worthwhile cause. This year our major fundraising event was a cycle ride to and around the Isle of Wight on the weekend of 7–8 September 2019. Local charity ‘Stonepillow’ will be the main beneficiary this year, with other local charities chosen by RCCH benefiting to a lesser extent. It is especially fitting that ‘Stonepillow’ (www.stonepillow.org.uk) has been chosen as 2019 is the charity’s 30th anniversary year.
“Stonepillow offers shelter, information and support to empower homeless and vulnerable people to make positive changes in their lives, and provides a range of services in Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton including day centres, hostels, a recovery service, supported housing and charity shops. The charity gives people the opportunity to learn new skills and access education, training and employment.”
Cyclists were encouraged to fundraise a minimum of £250.00 each (or £400.00 per couple/parent and child), however all donations will be gratefully received by RCCH’s chosen charities. Please give generously via ‘Wonderful’. Thank you.
