Six years ago my younger sister had to leave university due to her ill health. The battle for a diagnosis was not easy, it took years and countless doctors to find out fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome were most likely the causes. Unfortunately these conditions not only left her struggling to manage persistent pain but also the secondary aspects of that pain both physically and mentally. I have seen her come SO far during the last few years but there are so many out there battling with persistent pain and it's not talked about enough. For the majority of cases, the condition is invisible and therefore it's hard to understand for none sufferers.
To raise awareness I'm taking part in the 10K Walk For Pain Support where all donations/ sponsorship will go to Pain Support Jersey. I am walking it to highlight that walking is not easy for so many, yet it's something I easily take for granted. I really appreciate you taking the time to read this and if you feel like supporting me however big or small, I would really be ever so grateful!
