Andrew’s story

Hi all.

Those of you who know me well will know that I like to dance - particularly after a few drinks. This tends to be a free-style type 'performance' and can often be pretty random. :)

So, I thought (well, more precisely, Minna thought) that I should challenge myself to do something more structured. As such, I am taking part in a Strictly (come dancing) competition with other parents and teachers from Kimi's school and would be really grateful if you would sponsor me.

Training starts on 21st Jan and the event itself is on 26th April. I'm not sure what type of dance I'm doing or the outfit I'll be wearing so it should be interesting!

All funds raised will be going to the Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust (https://www.gracekellyladybird.co.uk) - a fantastic charity that works to raise awareness of and fund research in to rare cancers of childhood, as well as producing educational materials and providing support to families. Childhood cancer is the number one medical cause of death of children in the UK and this charity is working to change this.

Any support is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy (twinkle toes)

Grange School Parents Association

The role of the Grange School Parents' Association (GSPA) is to organise events for the social benefit of the children, their parents and the wider school community for the financial benefit of the children, the school and occasionally charities that the school has chosen to support. We are one association that serves both the Junior and Senior Schools.

Currently at The Grange Junior School, Hartford is a special little girl, Molly, who has experienced things no one should have to. A few days before her 6thbirthday, Molly was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare tumour, and underwent gruelling chemotherapy and proton beam therapy treatment for it.

Molly loves ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

As a result, the Grange School Parents’ Association with support from parents are throwing our next event ‘Strictly at The Grange’ to raise awareness and funds in aid of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, a charity dedicated to improving early diagnosis of childhood cancer. The event takes place 26th April 2019.

All money raised will be donated to 'Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust'.

Registered Charity Number: 1166838.

Our wonderful partners

Our wonderful partners - who support us with cash and services - make it possible for us to pass EVERY PENNY raised from your fundraising efforts and generous donations to our charities, including Gift Aid. Of course, we would be unable to do so without them.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
