Infant School & Nursery Sponsored Walk 2018 for Chalfont St Giles Village School Trust

£1258.50 + £234.00 Gift Aid = £1492.50
Donated to CSG Village School’s £1500.00 Goal

CSG Village School’s story

The event is a highlight of the year and aside from funds provided by the PTA it is the school’s main fundraising activity. Last year we raised over £4000 across both sites. Your support for the sponsored walk is crucial to making the event a success so please do all that you can to support your child’s fund raising efforts. Funds this year will be raised to wards IT equipment including Interactive Smart Boards for classes that do not yet have these.

At the Nursery the children will go for a walk in the morning in the school field whilst undertaking a Nature Spotting Challenge!.

The Infant School children will also be undertaking a Nature and Science Spotting Challenge whilst they go for a walk in the afternoon around the village.

As Buckinghamshire Schools are among the worst funded in the country in terms of per pupil funding we need your help!

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

Chalfont St Giles Village School Trust

Our aim is to provide your child with the best possible education. We are very proud that we are able to offer all of our pupils excellent teaching provision with strong extra–curricular support in addition to a variety of other activities on splendid, well maintained sites. These high standards have been achieved and are maintained through a combination of careful financial management by the school and Governors but have also been supported by the generosity of parents who make voluntary contributions to the school’s Trust Fund. This fund has provided a significant amount of funding over and above that which we receive directly from Buckinghamshire County Council.

This parental funding enabled us to maintain the high level of staffing, the teaching and learning support assistants as well as curriculum budgets all of which contribute to an enriched learning experience. We are very appreciative and proud of the parental support we have received in the past and hope that with your help we can continue this tradition. In the harsh economic times we find ourselves in, when local Government is making large reductions in public spending, the role of the School Trust Fund has become even more crucial to maintain the level of provision that we provide.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
