In May this year my 85 year old mum collapsed behind her front door and was rushed to Monklands A&E by ambulance. 3 weeks later she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. After 4 weeks she was transferred to QEUH, Glasgow where 9 weeks later she remains with no noticeable improvement. GBS & Delirium have taken over my mum so myself and my daughter decided to help raise awareness, support research and help patients/carers for this rare condition by supporting GAIN and running the Killin 10K. By a cruel twist of fate my daughter, Rebecca, fell off her horse 2 days after signing up and fractured her talus bone (ankle). The result is she will be in a non weight bearing cast for 6 weeks before starting rehabilitation. So I will run this 10K with Rebecca (hopefully out of cast by them) and Diane, my amazing wife. Please help if you can and THANK YOU.
