Great North Run 2019 for Refugee Support Network

£270.00 + £37.50 Gift Aid = £307.50
Donated to Dave’s £500.00 Goal

Dave’s story

The only time I have run a half marathon was the GNR back in the early 1980s. Now a lot older and obviously less wiser, I have decided to run the GNR again to raise funds for an issue I really believe makes a world of difference to children caught up in what are often catastrophic events. Any donation, no matter how small, will be much appreciated, and this fundraising site ensures that 100% of any donation goes directly to my chosen charity.

Thanks for your support.

Refugee Support Network

Refugee Support Network exists to enable refugee and asylum seeking young people to build hopeful futures through education. We work with young people affected by displacement and crisis, enabling them to access, remain and progress in education at all stages of their migration journey. By fundraising or making a regular donation, you can bring hope and support to the 3,500 unaccompanied minors in the UK.

Registered Charity Number: 1132509.

Our wonderful partners

Our wonderful partners - who support us with cash and services - make it possible for us to pass EVERY PENNY raised from your fundraising efforts and generous donations to our charities, including Gift Aid. Of course, we would be unable to do so without them.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
