Dale’s story

Hello! Starting June 2019 I will be hiking the Continental Divide Trail alone from Glacier National Park on the Canadian border to Crazy Cook on the Mexican border.

This 3100 mile trail will take around 5 months to complete.

the reason I have picked this charity Is due to the rising population of homelessness around my home town and this organisation does a lot of good to help those in need.

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes

The Winter Night Shelter Milton Keynes provides supervised overnight accommodation and meals to homeless and vulnerable people who would otherwise be rough sleeping in Milton Keynes during the coldest months of the year (November–March). We work in partnership with many churches and community centres across the city who provide their facilities as an overnight venue.

In addition to essential shelter, our staff and trained volunteers provide welfare support to help people rebuild their lives. We enable our guests to access drug and alcohol support services, to obtain housing advice, move on to longer-term accommodation and to find work.

We rely substantially on donations from individuals and organisations to do what we do. If you would like to support us by donating or raising funds, we thank you for partnering with us to help those on the streets.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
