From March 21st to April 1st, Janice Talkington and Paul Bates are taking on an exciting new adventure to Nicaragua, a Central American nation known for its dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches.
After a first successful trek to Borneo the Talkington Bates Co-Founders are back for more as Springboards celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Immersing themselves in local Nicaraguan life, camping with refreshing cold showers, no WIFI, drop toilets and primitive building tools; the eleven-day wildness journey will include climbing four volcanos, raising valuable funds for the Springboard charity. and helping improve the life of the local people by building a school and helping with a fresh drinking water system for the village.
The money raised leading up to the TREK will also go towards helping 70 people in the UK to overcome barriers to employment.
