LICCC Funding Drive! for London International Choral Conducting Competition

£4645.00 + £120.00 Gift Aid = £4765.00
Donated to Cat’s £8000.00 Goal

Cat’s story

My choir, Coro, is one of two choirs involved in setting up the UK's first choral conducting competition. We are trying to get the funds together to put on this event at the Royal Academy of Music in October. We need funds to hire the venue, put up meaningful prizes, and cover admin costs - the choirs are doing it for free! Any donations would be very gratefully received...

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

London International Choral Conducting Competition

The London International Choral Conducting Competition (LICCC) aims to advance of the arts and the education of the public for the public benefit, by promoting and advancing the appreciation and enjoyment of music; centring on choral music and its performance. The main focus of the LICCC is our biennial competition for young budding choral conductors which encompasses both a choral conducting competition and also public performances. LICCC also aims to further the cause of young conductors outside of the competition.

LICCC enables and encourages the participation of amateur choral singers. We will invite those who enjoy music and want to learn more about the act of choral training to join in and to listen to the participants and choral directors in action.

Registered Charity Number: 1177794.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
