Team Sophie, Emma and Ed run London Marathon 2019’s story

Sophie, Emma and Ed are taking part in London Marathon 2019 for Circulation Foundation. We would really appreciate any donations to support this amazing charity and the work they do.

It is run entirely by volunteers and relies solely on donations to fund its vital research and awareness programmes.

The Circulation Foundation is a charity to raise funds to support research into the prevention and treatment of vascular disease but also to support patients and their families by providing information and advice. Sophie and Emma work as Vascular Scientists in London. Every day they care for and diagnose patients with all forms of vascular disease.

Vascular Disease is as common as cancer and heart disease and accounts for 40% of deaths in the UK. Every part of the body to which blood flows can be affected by vascular disease, which is why we’re committed to saving lives and limbs. Vascular disease is caused by inflammation and weakness of the veins and arteries - and by the build-up of fatty deposits in the blood vessels. It is the most common forerunner to coronary heart disease and heart attack and causes stroke by affecting the arteries in your neck. It also affects the arteries in your legs, which causes pain when walking, ulceration and amputation

Thank you once again for supporting us and helping to stamp out vascular disease.

“Keeping the nation’s blood flowing”

Emma, Sophie and Ed.

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
