Marcus’s story

I am fundraising for a Mission Trip and I need you! This is part of the New Wine Discipleship Year as an Intern at Kingsland Church. I am growing as a disciple of Jesus, learning all kinds of things and loving it!

So, let me tell you about the Mission Trip. It is a light building trip in Appalina, which is just outside of Reghin in Romania, from Saturday 11th to Saturday 18th May 2019. It is for People Against Poverty, who help those in need and want to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world, as you can see at They meet the needs of those that are struggling with food, housing and education and I’m happy I can play my part in that.

I need to raise £1000.00, £550.00 of the funds being to cover my costs and whatever I get beyond that, aiming for £450.00, going the actual project.

I'd love it if you could sponsor me and donate whatever you can! It would mean a lot. Please do add Gift Aid if you pay tax as well. The charity listed is St. John's Church, as that is the Colchester Hub for the New Wine Discipleship Year, but the money will go towards the Mission Trip.

For those of you that give financially, thank you so much, but please do be praying for the Mission Trip as well, as I want it to be the best it can be.

Technology is nothing. What's important is that you have a faith in people, that they're basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they'll do #wonderful things with them. – Steve Jobs

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
