Team Molly’s story

Hello Lovely People,

I have decided to do a mini marathon to raise some money for St James' Church Project Aurora. This will involve me walking from Winchester to the White Swan at Mansbridge with my owner Linda, a distance of just over 10 miles.

I have been in training for this by taking lots of walks in the woods and fitness training chasing balls and chewing bones!

I am happy to accept lots of small donations of £1, £2 or £5 or whatever ever you can spare for this worthwhile cause, as I always enjoy visiting the church and it will be good to be able to see and hear much better when the people hold events in the church building.

Thank you with a woof and a wag

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

West End PCC of St. James'

St. James’ Church is a Church of England parish church situated five miles north east of Southampton city centre. We are an active and outward looking church with a vision to open our doors and reach out to the local community in new ways.

We are currently fundraising to upgrade the lighting and audio visual (AV) systems in our church including decorating the upper walls to bring the church into the 21st century for its members and the local community.

To date we have managed to raise £30,500 of the projected £250,000 required to do so (July 2019)

Registered Charity Number: 1132863.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
