Team Warrior Women’s story
We are entering a team into The MIGHTY River Weaver Dragon Boat Challenge as part of Northwich River Festival 2019.
50% of the amount we sponsor will go to The Festival's nominated charity: Cheshire Without Abuse - which supports families affected by domestic abuse - as well as other Rotary good causes.
The remaining 50% will go to our own nominated charity: Ronald McDonald House (Alder Hey Children's Hospital)
Ronald McDonald House Liverpool is located in the grounds of the world famous Alder Hey children’s hospital. It is an independent charity and offer home from home accomodation to families of seriously ill children receiving care and treatment at the hospital.
Ronald McDonald House Alder Hey offers support and a safe place to stay for families at the toughest time in their life. Research has proven that children recover better with their family around them, which is why we work hard to keep families together and close to the ward.
The charity tries to take the worry away from its families, so that they can concentrate of the well being of their child. The staff are on hand 24 hours each day to assist, and the facilities are open all day and night for families to use, to keep daily life as normal as possible. Families have access to kitchens, laundry facilities and communal areas for our families, and once a week the family support volunteers prepare a home cooked
Please support our efforts - and remember to come and cheers us on at Northwich River Festival 2019 - 13th and 14th July 2019
