Sara’s story

I am undertaking a huge personal challenge by cycling 150m over 3 days with a team from MedAire and International SOS. The group includes medical professionals and international assistance specialists from the two companies, and during this cycle we will covering a height greater than Everest with a course that includes the Formentor lighthouse, Sa Calobra and finishing with a route from Bunyola to Palma. It will be a big challenge to achieve as I am training whilst my husband is away at sea and I have a 2.5 year old called Alfie so finding time is tricky, and involves many hours on a static bike! I am supporting the Superyacht Charities, I am also hoping to complete the cycle as a tribute to my belief and personal discovery hi that exercise and sailing for pleasure can keep you mentally and physically strong and help you overcome mental health issues alongside professional support. I hope you can find it in your hearts to donate to these worthy causes not for me but for what they do and contribute to those they assist.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
