Team Strictly Juniors’s story

When the GSPA approached us over coffee and cake to get involved with a fundraising event in aid of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, it was almost inevitable that we would agree.

When it was subsequently revealed that the event was “Strictly Come Dancing”, Anna leaped at the chance with a resounding “yes” and Guy spent three weeks trying to find excuses!

Joking aside, it is a pleasure for us to be involved in raising awareness and funds for a charity dedicated to improving early diagnosis of childhood cancer. We appreciate the importance of this cause, not least because of the work we do with young people and their families, but also having been touched by the experiences of Molly and her own family.

Anna (aka Ms. Evans) will be performing a Salsa (including a variety of mid-air lifts/throws) whereas Guy (aka. Mr Silky Moves) will be destroying the dance formerly known as the Cha-Cha-Cha.

Any funds you can contribute towards our fundraising target will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for your generosity.

Grange School Parents Association

The role of the Grange School Parents' Association (GSPA) is to organise events for the social benefit of the children, their parents and the wider school community for the financial benefit of the children, the school and occasionally charities that the school has chosen to support. We are one association that serves both the Junior and Senior Schools.

Currently at The Grange Junior School, Hartford is a special little girl, Molly, who has experienced things no one should have to. A few days before her 6thbirthday, Molly was diagnosed with an aggressive and rare tumour, and underwent gruelling chemotherapy and proton beam therapy treatment for it.

Molly loves ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

As a result, the Grange School Parents’ Association with support from parents are throwing our next event ‘Strictly at The Grange’ to raise awareness and funds in aid of the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust, a charity dedicated to improving early diagnosis of childhood cancer. The event takes place 26th April 2019.

All money raised will be donated to 'Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust'.

Registered Charity Number: 1166838.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
