Team Bowsland’s story

They're back.

Just over a year since the 24 hour football marathon, Mr Young, Mr Thomas and Mr Stephenson are back for another 24 hour challenge. However, this time, they've brought back-up. Joining them are Mrs Fielding, the familiar face of Mr Dunn and Mr Stephenson's younger sister, Alice.

This year, the team will be taking on the daunting Three Peaks Challenge. This unique challenge consists of climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon - the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales respectively. The aim of the challenge is to conquer all three mountains and the drives between them within a 24 hour window. Mr Young, Mr Thomas, Mr Stephenson, Mr Dunn and Miss Stephenson will be climbing the mountains whilst Mrs Fielding has kindly offered to drive them between.

The team will be undertaking this exciting expedition with the view to raising money for the Friends of Bowsland Green who are working tirelessly to raise money for a brand new playground space. Bowsland Green Primary School is currently renovating their playground and the project needs your support! Please support the team and the school in any way you can.

You will be able to follow the team via their dedicated Instagram account @teambowsland as they post photos and vlogs from their challenge.

We are all volunteers that are passionate about our school and want the best for all the children

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
