Robyn’s story

Me and Steve are taking on a huge personal challenge; walking 85km in under 24 hours. And we're crazy enough to do it twice, only two weeks later (170km in total). Hopefully our blisters and aching muscles will have healed by then.

This is also a great opportunity to help others, so we'd love to raise as much money as we can for Headway and help to make other peoples lives a little bit better at the same time. Please support and we won't let you down!

1.Race to the Tower (WE DID IT! 21 hours 30 mins)

The first event is "Race to the Tower"; a 52.4 mile double marathon through the heart of the idyllic Cotswolds. finishing at the magnificent Broadway Tower:

  • Total distance – 52.4 miles
  • Total climb – 7,476ft
  • 8th/9th June 2019

2.Race to the King

The second event is "Race to the King"; a double marathon along the South Downs Way, passing numerous historical sites and taking you through some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside:

  • Total distance – 53 miles
  • Total climb – 5,051ft
  • 22nd/23rd June 2019

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
