Victoria’s story

2019 is to be the year I take on my biggest ever challenge. I have entered the Hardmoors Grand Slam, which consists of 4 ultra marathons:

1st of January - 30 miles

16th of March - 50 miles

25-26th of May - 110 miles

15th of September - 60 miles.

There are virtual races to enter to coincide with each of these events.

I am raising money for Emmaus Mossley. Emmaus provide a home and work for formerly homeless people within their shop for as long as it is needed. It is a cornerstone of the local community.

The number of people sleeping rough in the Uk is growing, and the figures are approaching 5000 people per night. Places like Emmaus are vital in helping get people off the streets and providing them with meaningful work and a place in society.

All in all, let 2019 be an excellent year for running, and a great year for Emmaus.

All funds raised will be passed to the charity irrespective of whether my target is reached, not reached or exceeded.

What makes us wonderful?

We recognise the selfless commitment made by fundraisers who train for months to run marathons, face their fears by jumping out of aeroplanes or open their homes to the community for charity bakes and coffee mornings. We believe the charities they support should receive EVERY PENNY from their fundraising efforts.

We also believe that Gift Aid (a scheme enabling charities to reclaim tax on donations made by UK taxpayers) should be directed IN FULL to the charities. This is why the Wonderful Organisation does not generate profit (or even cover costs) by deducting money from fundraisers' sponsors or Gift Aid contributions.

We are a non-profit organisation funded entirely by like-minded, philanthropic businesses. That's what makes us wonderful!
