Horndean Technology College Parent Forum

For a number of years, the HTC Parent Forum has run the College Fund, which has helped raise much needed money to improve the quality of provision for all college students.  The main source of income to this fund is the voluntary donations made by students’ families.  As the College faces ever increasing financial challenges due to reduced funding, these donations are becoming an ever more valuable source.

Previous donations have enabled many purchases, including 3 cameras for Photography, software for Languages, games and gadgets for Science and Maths, football kits and a crash mat for PE, financial support for Rock Challenge and re-tuning the steel pans for Music.

With additional funding from raffles at HTC events, such as the Arts Showcase and Presentation Evening, the Parent Forum has enabled further procurement in addition to the College Fund. 

Without these voluntary contributions HTC would not be able to purchase this additional equipment, which ultimately benefits all college students.

The Parent Forum ask is for a donation of £20 per family per year, however any voluntary contribution is welcomed.
