No visitor leaves untouched by the magic of the Church of the Holy Rood, Empshott, which has been a witness to Christian worship for more than 800 years. Even if you are not a regular churchgoer, we hope you will be moved to contribute to the Friends of Empshott Church. This registered charity, set up by local people, has provided grants of over £29,000 in the last 20 years to help the parochial church council ‘maintain, repair, restore and preserve, for the benefit of the parish of Empshott in Hampshire, the fabric of the Church of the Holy Rood.. together with its monuments, fixtures and fittings and its surrounding churchyard’.
Thank you for helping us to look after this historic (but expensive to maintain) building, which is not only an important part of our heritage but also a source of spiritual comfort to local people as well as to visitors from far and wide. Charity number:1060240
