Gorkha Development Scheme

Gorkha Development Scheme (GDS) is a small charity based in the UK run by voluntary Trustees, all of whom have had personal contact with Gorkha. We link with our sister charity in Nepal, GDHEDS which enables us to work directly with the community of Gorkha to initiate and manage a range of sustainable projects in health and education. This close working relationship also enables rapid response when needed as in the current Covid crisis and following the devastating earthquakes which hit the region in 2015. GDS also coordinate volunteers who share their skills with the Nepali community. 

The small GDS team work tirelessly to fund-raise in the UK to ensure worthwhile projects in Gorkha can be funded and every bit of support is valued. All work and finance is monitored and transparent.
