Friends of Young Carers (Swindon)

The focus of Friends of Young Carers Swindon is to provide help and support to young people caring at home for relatives with physical or mental disabilities, or struggling with addiction.  

We enable young carers to behave like children and be treated like children, rather than the routine adult world they invariably live in. We’ve helped hundreds of children under the age of 18 in Swindon and surrounding districts to have a life outside of their caring responsibilities. 

The charity carries out its objectives without distinction of sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, race, colour, disability, political or religious beliefs.

·      We support recreation and leisure activities (football, gymnastics, swimming, rock climbing, music lessons, horse riding, days out etc.) with the aim of improving the conditions of life of young carers.

·      We advance the education of young carers by improving the advice and information available to them.
