Since 1960, Shropshire RCC has been committed to making Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin a great place for people to live, no matter what difficulties they face.
In a large rural county these difficulties can include poor public transport, lack of public services, low levels of community facilities and the challenges of growing older in times of austerity.
Our aims are to:
We deliver our work through a range of community-based projects which put our service users right at the heart of what we do. We have a dedicated band of local volunteers who donated over 8,900 hours to our work last year; without whom we couldn’t continue to achieve so much out in the communities that need us.
Create a fundraising page to start raising money for The Community Council of Shropshire today! We’re keen to see all kinds of wacky ideas and breath-taking achievements, so get creative and get cracking.
It’s a wonderful time to be innovative. Bre Pettis
