Essex Sight is the community arm of Essex Blind Charity, which has been providing support, advice, guidance and assistance to Visually Impaired people and their families in Essex since 1920, to help them cope with sight loss and continue to lead fulfilling lives. We also promote eye health and help educate people in taking care of their sight to minimise the potential for sight loss. Our Eye Clinic Liaison Officers and volunteers support the eye clinics in Colchester and Broomfield, Chelmsford, helping and supporting patients to cope with newly diagnosed or existing sight loss. We also provide a home visiting service, to help advise VI people on how to continue to live independently and make best use of the services and equipment available.
