Midland International Aid Trust's Doctors of Rahman (DoR) initiative is a volunteer-driven, doctor-led a UK-registered charity. DoR focuses on 3 key projects:Providing comprehensive (Financial, Educational, Mentorship, Psychological) support to displaced Gazan medical students (and their families) to help them complete their medical education at top Pakistan Universities, thus enabling the rebuilding of Gaza's health infrastructure.DoR deploys highly skilled medical and surgical teams to areas of Humanitarian crisis globally.DoR will help facilitate the transfer of patients from Gaza to Pakistan for treatment.Key Projects220 students placed so far through collaboration with partners:45 in South Africa10 in Norway175 in Pakistan at top universities150 more students identified: Work is ongoing to secure placements for additional students in Pakistan.Your Support Matters The Need These students many of whom are orphans, fled Gaza with nothing but the 'shirts on their backs' and their hope.The Ask The annual cost of supporting each student and in some cases their families is £3500 to cover their basic necessities.
