Tertiary Education Scholarship Trust for Africa

Our Objectives

The Tertiary Education Scholarship Trust (TEST) for Africa enables gifted students who would otherwise miss out on a tertiary education to get a degree, both unlocking their potential and helping them contribute to their communities.

The Trust currently operates in Ghana, Malawi, Uganda and Tanzania.  

Our Core Principles

• 100% of donations go to the intended recipients, no administration costs come out from donation. The minimal costs are covered separately from a generous benefactor
• We means test to ensure that we support the truly needy and bright
• We encourage a 60% gender bias towards females
• We implement a 60% geographical bias towards the poorest regions in the respective countries
• We implement a 60% bias towards universities
• We actively encourage applications from students with disabilities.
• We bond our students for 5 years to commit to giving back to the social and economic improvement of their countries and communities.

Our Achievements

• We sponsor on average over 300 students a year
• Since our inception we have supported well over a 1000 students through to graduation
• Many of our students are giving back not only to their communities and countries but back to TEST for Africa itself.
