Ashmead Primary School has an active Parent Teacher Association. We build strong relationships with school staff, understanding their needs and planning fundraising goals together. The school has an ambitious and exciting curriculum which we are proud to support through our fundraising. Ashmead is a values-based learning community with a clear vision for its children; that through excellent teaching and care, children know they are both loveable and capable.

What does the PTA do?

The PTA hosts a variety of fundraising and enrichment events for the school community including coffee mornings, school fairs, quiz nights, school disco for the kids (and one for the adults!), books/ plants /nearly new clothing and of course cake sales!  The PTA provides funding for school facilities, equipment and experiences (author visits, school trips) which support the school and advance the education of its children. 

Project Playground

In 2024-25 the PTA target is to raise £50k which will fund the construction of new playground facilities during summer 2025, including removal of the closed tree walk. The new facilities will support OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning), immersing our children in creativity and nature, taking them up amongst the trees with greater accessibility for all! Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Ashmead Primary School, the new facilities will provide a lasting legacy for the future students of Ashmead.
