The need for trained and equipped gospel workers is as urgent today as ever, and especially in parts of the world where access to biblical teaching is limited. That’s where The Kerusso Trust comes in.The Kerusso Trust works in Malawi, one of the world’s poorest nations to train, equip, and encourage church leaders, many of whom have little or no formal theological training. Its mission is to strengthen the church by providing biblical teaching, discipleship resources, and practical support for pastors and evangelists, particularly in rural communities.Through preaching workshops, Bible training, and leadership development – run in direct partnership with a local organisation J-Life Ministries – the goal is to empower local Christians to share the gospel effectively and build strong, faithful churches. This is vital work in a country where many believers are eager to grow but lack access to sound teaching.Led by Jonathan and Ruth, The Kerusso Trust is also passionate to enable the Church in the west to learn from our brothers and sisters in Malawi as they seek to follow Jesus with incredible zeal. When not in Malawi, Jonathan in particular travels around many churches all over Scotland and beyond sharing about the work.
