Woodbury Community Playing Fields (WCPF) is a small charity, established early in 2013, responsible for the management and development of the main playing fields in Woodbury. It is run entirely by a small group of volunteers from the local area who all give huge amounts of time and energy.
The key objectives of the charity include making the playing fields a central point of village life and a desirable location for community events for all members of the community; encouraging active and regular participation in a wide range of sports and recreation in Woodbury and supporting the local community by providing excellent indo0r and outdoor facilities.
Having completed a children's play area and a multi use games area, our next project is to renovate/extend/replace the Hive community building (previously the Scout/Guide Hut).
We are currently investigating the cost of extending and/or replacing the current Hive building, which is over 40 years old. Whichever solution we go for will cost many tens of thousand of pounds. Not only are we looking for the most cost effective solution in the short term, but we are also mindful of future running and maintenance costs.

It would be wonderful to think that the future is uncertain and sort of surprising. Alan Rickman
