Tyneside Outdoors is a Youth and Community Work charity providing residents in disadvantaged areas of Tyneside with opportunities to engage in a range of out-of-doors activities in and around Tyneside. We do this by working with young people in our youth group settings and encouraging them to enjoy the outdoors and to use it to assist their personal development and most importantly- to have fun!
We currently work in 3 areas of Tyneside: West Newcastle (Scotswood, Benwell and Elswick) where are West End Outdoors Youth Group meet on a weekly basis to take part in fortnightly out-of-doors activities in Hodgkin Park and fortnightly trips to local outdoor spaces for a wider range of activities; Walker Park (Walker) where our Youth Workers engage young people in a range of outdoor games and activities; Temple Park (South Shields) where our Temple Raiders young people's bike group meet on a weekly basis to learn bike repair skills, play bike games and take part in a range of bike activities including, BMX racing, Cycle Speedway and Mountain Biking.
Create a fundraising page to start raising money for Tyneside Outdoors today! We’re keen to see all kinds of wacky ideas and breath-taking achievements, so get creative and get cracking.
