KDCC was formed in 1974 and has operated on behalf of the people of Keyworth and its surrounding area for in excess of 49 years. Having operated as a Trust for many years, KDCC converted to a registered charity (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) in 2016. The Charity has no paid employees - all involved are volunteers. To provide a community transport service for the inhabitants of Keyworth and the surrounding area who are in need of such a service because of age, sickness or disability (mental or physical) or poverty, or because of lack of availability of adequate and safe public passenger services. The KDCC community bus provides transport to / from our Day Centre, transport to / from local shops, transport to / from a local Friendship Group run by WRVS, transport to / from a local ‘Warm Space’ initiative.
