Walthew House is an independently funded, volunteer led, local charity providing practical and emotional support to over 300 people in Stockport who have a sight or hearing loss every week. Walthew House provides various services such as support and activity groups, a not-for-profit Resource Centre selling assistive equipment, a Youth Club for children aged 5-14 with a sight or hearing loss, a help desk and other information services in accessible formats (including, audio, large print and Braille), specialist counselling for people with a sight loss and informal advocacy support for anyone with a sensory loss.
