Wychumvi

Wychumvi developed from the relationship between two globally linked schools; Wyche C.E. Primary School in Malvern and Gofu Juu school in Tanga Tanzania. The charity seeks to provide a hot meal for every child in the Tanzanian school. This has been found to benefit the children physically in terms of nutrition and health but has also had a knock-on effect in terms of attendance and therefore in overall levels of attainment. Wychumvi currently provides over 600 meals a day for the children at Gofu Juu. The charity also established a programme where individuals in the UK could sponsor a child through Secondary School, and where required onto High School and through University. The charity has sponsored over 90 children in this way in the past ten years.
