We set up The Ed Kent Trust in February 2017 in memory of Edward Kent, our son and brother. The object of the trust is to raise funds in order to provide grant aid to both individuals and to organisations, supporting youth cricket and other sports in Dorset and also to support young percussionists and other musicians in the county. We’ve now awarded grants of between £96 and £1,000 to over thirty young people. Some grants have helped a young person to continue his or her activities when a loss of income to the family has occurred, while other grants have supported young participants paying the high costs of being good enough to be selected for National, European or even World Championships in their chosen sport.
Further details about the charity and about Ed, are available on our website at www.edkenttrust.org
We raise funds in various ways, normally through events but also through direct donations. Please contact us if you have an idea for fundraising and by all means use this platform to set up your fundraising page.
