Support The Ring Amateur Boxing Club in Its Fight for a New Home
For over 11 years, The Ring Amateur Boxing Club (www.theringabc.com) has been a cornerstone of the Bracknell community. It provides a safe and supportive space for amateur boxers of all ages and abilities, helping hundreds of young people develop resilience, discipline, and confidence through the sport of boxing.
With a legacy of producing over 150 fighters who have competed at national and international levels, The Ring is much more than a gym—it’s a lifeline for the community.
Now, The Ring faces its biggest challenge yet. Situated beneath the High Street car park, the gym must relocate due to the demolition of the car park. While The Ring is collaborating with Bracknell Council to secure a new venue, the transition requires significant time and funding. Rising costs for rent, equipment, and travel for competitions are stretching the club’s resources to their limit. Without urgent support, the future of this invaluable community asset is at risk.
Despite these challenges, The Ring continues to thrive, thanks to the dedication of its unpaid coaches and volunteers. One shining example of the club’s success is 17-year-old Mohammad “Manny” Safari, an amateur flyweight sensation. Ranked #1 in the UK, #5 in Europe, and #12 globally, Manny represents the determination and excellence that The Ring fosters in its members.
The club's impact goes far beyond the ring, instilling values of perseverance, integrity, and teamwork in every participant.
