The Friends of the Storey Gardens is a volunteer group working in partnership with Lancaster City Council to preserve and enhance the Storey Gardens for the benefit of the local community and visitors to Lancaster. Tucked away in the heart of the city, the Storey Gardens offer a hidden oasis of peace and tranquillity. The space includes The Tasting Garden—a community garden and orchard designed as a remarkable environmental artwork by Mark Dion, created in 1998, which is currently undergoing restoration.
