TheMytchett Community Association (MCA) are the charity responsible for the running of the Mytchett Centre. From 1987 to today, the MCA has ensured the Centre is self supporting by hiring out the rooms and playing fields for parties and events, as well as organising our own fund raising events such as the annual fireworks display, family fun day and regular quiz nights. We do not receive any external funding, but have to raise every penny needed to run the Centre, this runs to thousands of pounds every month.
The extensive grounds include two football pitches in addition to hosting weekly car boot sales. The large car parks ensure that local residents are not disturbed by the numerous visitors, and can accommodate up to 185 cars. The Mytchett Centre hosts numerous clubs and societies with activities for all ages, these include sports, dance, health and wellness, drama and craft groups attended by over 1000 people a week. Our aim is to provide competitively priced facilities for the local community to encourage health, well-being as well as bringing people together as a community and preventing loneliness
