Worcestershire Cancer aid Committee

Worcestershire Cancer Aid has been helping cancer sufferers and their families since 1974 and is run by a small group of very dedicated volunteers. Sadly, it is so often the case that when families are confronted with serious illness they are also forced to cope with unexpected financial burdens. They may not be able to carry on working due to their own ill-health or they may have to stay at home to care for a sick child or relative.

At WCA we aim to step-in during these stressful periods and to help alleviate some of the financial pressures, normally for a set amount of time. This can be of tremendous relief to those who find themselves in this upsetting position. The grants we make can help fund such things as specialist equipment, bedding or travel expenses. We may also help with childcare costs during treatment or assist with payment for additional heating.
