Please help support out Group by making a donation today. Every penny is used to improve the Scouting experience for our young people, and we are currently raising funds towards the rebuilding of our HQ. This will make it fit for purpose and enable us to offer even more to our members and the community.
This page can be used to make donations in support of specific events, such as Akela’s Challenges, or if you’d like to help but can’t make it to an event, you can still support us by donating here.
1st/36th Doncaster (St Peter’s Warmsworth) Scouts is a thriving group that has been providing fantastic Scouting to our young members for over 60 years. Originally known as 1st Doncaster St Peter’s, the current name came into being following a merger with the 36th Warmsworth in 2008. The Group is based in our own Headquarters behind the White Church in Balby and our members come from the surrounding villages of Balby, Warmsworth and Edlington.
Through a brilliant team of volunteers we offer Scouting to young people between the ages of six and fourteen. Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Our Group gives members and volunteers the opportunity to develop and grow as individuals by offering a diverse range of activities.
The adults who run 1st/36th Doncaster are all volunteers giving up their time to support the aims of Scouts UK and ensuring that young people are offered fantastic opportunities. All leaders have full time jobs and their own family commitments too. The Group is led by the Group Scout Leader (GSL) and managed by a Trustee Committee. All leaders and trustees are required to undertake training appropriate and relevant to their role.
