Richard’s story
The 2025 Round Britain Reliability Run will take place over the weekend of 3rd - 5th October. Starting at Knebworth House near Stevenage approximately 100 Triumph cars will attempt to drive around Britain in 48 hours, covering approximately 2000 miles in support of Parkinsons UK.
Leaving Knebworth at 6pm on Friday evening the crews will drive through the night to arrive at John O' Groats in time for breakfast on Saturday morning. After that we turn round and drive South again aiming to arrive at Land's End at about 8am Sunday for another breakfast! The last leg then completes the circuit returning to Knebworth (hopefully) arriving at 6pm or so Sunday evening.
Team Spotlight comprises Steve Radley and myself - Richard Warr. Both of us veterans of several RBRRs before - Steve has completed 7 runs and I have 5 under my belt so far - we will be using my 1968 Triumph 2000 mk1 saloon. I've owned this car for 10 years now and as I write this it is undergoing the last stages of some bodywork fettling prior to essential preparation for what is quite a challenge for such an old car.
Please consider donating to our page in order for the whole club to raise as much as possible for Parkinsons UK. All and any donations are welcome.
Thank you
